Strengthening Pakistan – Uzbekistan Academic Collaboration

On 16 April 2026, Professor Dr. Niaz Ahmad Akhtar (S.I), Chairman of the Higher Education Commission Pakistan, held a productive and forward-looking meeting with His Excellency Alisher Tukhtaev, Ambassador of the Republic of Uzbekistan to Pakistan at HEC, Pakistan.

The meeting was attended by Mr. Khalid Taimur Akram, alongside the senior leadership of the Higher Education Commission (HEC Pakistan). The discussions centered on enhancing bilateral cooperation in the education sector, with a strong focus on fostering meaningful and sustainable academic linkages between institutions of both countries. Both sides emphasized the importance of higher education as a catalyst for innovation, socio-economic development, and regional integration.
