On 5th June 2026, Mr. Khalid Taimur Akram, Executive Director of the Pakistan Research Center for a Community with Shared Future (PRCCSF), visited the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China and met with Mr. Wang Shengjie, Head of Political & Press Section (CPEC Focal Person) at Islamabad.
The meeting focused on exploring avenues of cooperation between PRCCSF and Chinese think tanks. Both sides agreed to strengthen collaboration on research initiatives related to the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), academic exchanges, and people-to-people connectivity in line with the vision of a Community with a Shared Future for Mankind.
Mr. Wang Shengjie appreciated Mr. Akram’s contributions to promoting Pakistan-China friendship and advancing the concept of a Community with a Shared Future, as envisioned by President Xi Jinping. He also acknowledged PRCCSF’s role in fostering academic engagement and constructive discourse on the Belt and Road Initiative and Pakistan-China relations.
Mr. Khalid Taimur Akram commended the Embassy of China for its efforts in strengthening bilateral relations and appreciated Mr. Wang Shengjie’s proactive role in promoting cooperation, supporting CPEC-related initiatives, and facilitating institutional exchanges between the two countries.
Both reaffirmed their commitment to enhancing collaboration in areas of mutual interest and agreed to undertake joint research on various aspects of CPEC and development-related issues.
