On 13 March 2026, on the gracious invitation of His Excellency Dr. Reza Amiri Moghaddam, Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Pakistan, Mr. Khalid Taimur Akram attended the International Quds Day event held at Islamabad, alongside scholars and members of the diplomatic community.
International Quds Day is observed every year on the last Friday of the holy month of Ramadan. Initiated in 1979, the day serves as a global platform to express solidarity with the Palestinian people and to highlight the significance of Jerusalem (Al-Quds) in the conscience of the Muslim world. It symbolizes unity among Muslims and freedom-loving people across the globe who advocate for justice, peace, and the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people.
The event provided an important opportunity for dialogue and reflection on the evolving dynamics of the Middle East and reaffirmed the collective commitment of the international community to support peace, stability, and human dignity.
Engaging in such diplomatic and intellectual gatherings strengthens understanding among nations and highlights the importance of constructive dialogue on global issues that affect millions around the world.
