Mr. Khalid Taimur Akram meets Mr. Amir Sajjad Khan, Manager International Office, Foundation University, Islamabad

On 18 February 2026, Mr. Khalid Taimur Akram, Executive Director of the Pakistan Research Center for a Community with Shared Future (PRCCSF), held a meeting with Mr. Amir Sajjad Khan, Manager International Office at the Foundation University, Islamabad. The primary focus of the meeting was to explore structured academic cooperation, strengthen international engagement, and discuss potential areas of institutional partnership for mutual benefit.

During the meeting, Mr. Khalid Taimur Akram provided a detailed briefing on the global outreach of the Institute for a Community with Shared Future (ICSF), Communication University of China (CUC), Beijing, and its active engagement in 26 countries. He highlighted how collaboration between Foundation University and ICSF could open new avenues for joint research projects, academic conferences, faculty and student exchange programs, and policy dialogue initiatives related to the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI). Mr. Akram emphasized that such cooperation would not only enhance academic capacity but also promote the shared vision of building a “Community with a Shared Future for Mankind” through institutional partnerships.

Mr. Amir Sajjad Khan appreciated the international contributions of ICSF in fostering academic and research linkages among partner countries. He expressed Foundation University’s interest in developing formal cooperation mechanisms with ICSF, particularly in areas such as joint seminars, collaborative publications, cultural exchange programs, and research initiatives aligned with BRI themes. He noted that partnership with ICSF would significantly strengthen the university’s international profile and global academic engagement.

The discussion concluded with both agreeing to explore practical steps toward formalizing collaboration between Foundation University and ICSF. It was agreed that continued coordination would be maintained to identify specific areas of mutual interest and to develop a roadmap for sustainable academic partnership, aimed at promoting knowledge exchange, research excellence, and long-term institutional cooperation between Pakistan and China.
