On 10th March 2026, Future Development Holdings (Pvt) Limited (FDHL) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Alpine Club of Pakistan to collaborate on the development of adventure sports facilities at Capital Smart City , Islamabad.
This partnership represents an important step toward promoting adventure tourism, outdoor sports, and sustainable recreational infrastructure in Pakistan. By combining the technical expertise and national experience of the Alpine Club of Pakistan with the innovative vision of Future Development Holdings, this initiative aims to introduce world-class adventure sports facilities within Capital Smart City — a first-of-its-kind concept in Pakistan’s smart urban developments.This important initiative is facilitated by Mr. Khalid Taimur Akram.
The collaboration will focus on developing activities such as mountaineering training, rock climbing, hiking trails, and other outdoor adventure programs, creating new opportunities for youth engagement, sports development, and tourism promotion.
At a time when Pakistan is increasingly gaining recognition for its natural landscapes and adventure tourism potential, initiatives like these will help position the country as an emerging destination for international adventure sports and eco-tourism.
