On 5 February 2026, the Shenzhen University Institute of Architectural Design & Research Limited (SUIADR), China delegation currently visiting Pakistan on the invitation of Habib Rafiq Engineering (Pvt.) Ltd, officially inaugurated its new office in Islamabad, Pakistan. The inauguration was led by Mr. Nianzhong Li, Deputy President of SUIADR. The delegation also included Zhenyuan Yang, Deputy Chief Architect, Quan Cheng, Deputy Chief Architect, Xinyu Wan, Lead Architect of the Design Studio, and Tao Sun, Project Consultant and CEO of Sunchang Construction & Engineering Consulting Co., Ltd.

The Islamabad office launch follows a strategic collaboration agreement signed between Shenzhen University Institute of Architectural Design & Research Limited (SUIADR) and Habib Rafiq Engineering (Pvt.) Ltd (HRL Group), one of Pakistan’s largest engineering and development conglomerates with extensive experience in construction, infrastructure, and urban development. The agreement was initially formalized in December 2025.

The inauguration was attended by Mr. Muhammad Aslam Malik, Chief Operating Officer of the HRL Group, Mr. Khalid Taimur Akram, Advisor to the Chairman HRL, and Mr. Imran Zahid, CEO of Capital Smart Motors, highlighting the significance of this collaboration in strengthening design excellence and knowledge exchange between the two countries.

With its Islamabad office, the Shenzhen University Institute of Architectural Design & Research Limited (SUIADR) will provide direct support for architectural and urban development projects, introducing innovative design practices and globally recognized standards. This collaboration further reinforces Pakistan-China cooperation in infrastructure, urban innovation, and sustainable development.
