On 4 August 2025, a high-level five-member Chinese business delegation from the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce (ACFIC) and Precise Development (HK) Limited, is currently visiting Pakistan. During their visit, the delegation met with the Honorable Federal Minister for Energy (Petroleum Division) Mr. Ali Pervaiz Malik, and senior officials from the Petroleum Division in Islamabad.
The Chinese delegation was headed by Mr. Yi Jiang, Director of All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce (ACFIC), and Mr. David Chu, CEO of Precise Development (HK) Limited, China the delegation commended Pakistan’s efforts to foster an investor-friendly environment and acknowledged the government’s commitment to facilitating foreign investment.
The discussions focused on exploring strategic partnerships in Pakistan’s energy sector, with special emphasis on oil and gas exploration ventures. The Chinese delegates demonstrated particular interest in Pakistan’s untapped hydrocarbon potential and discussed potential collaboration models with local energy companies. The dialogue expanded to encompass broader prospects for Sino-Pak economic cooperation, including potential investments in critical infrastructure development, renewable energy projects, and technological exchanges in the energy sector. Both sides underscored the vital importance of establishing enduring partnerships that would contribute to sustainable economic growth and energy security for both nations.
The meeting concluded with a shared commitment to further dialogue, with plans to establish concrete frameworks for future collaboration. The Chinese delegation reiterated their enthusiasm for investing in Pakistan’s burgeoning energy sector, while the Pakistani side assured full support in streamlining regulatory processes to expedite joint ventures.
