On 4 July 2026, Mr. Khalid Taimur Akram was honored to attend the celebration of the 32nd Liberation Day of the Republic of Rwanda in Islamabad at the gracious invitation of H.E. Ms. Harerimana Fatou, High Commissioner of the Republic of Rwanda to Pakistan.
The event marked Rwanda’s remarkable journey of resilience, unity, reconstruction, and national transformation over the past three decades. It also underscored the significance of international cooperation, mutual understanding, and diplomatic engagement in promoting peace and sustainable development. The celebration provided an excellent opportunity for meaningful interactions with members of the diplomatic corps, policymakers, academics, business leaders, and other distinguished guests. Mr. Khalid Taimur Akram commended the efforts of H.E. Ms. Harerimana Fatou and the High Commission of Rwanda for organizing a memorable and well-coordinated event that reflected the enduring spirit, achievements, and aspirations of the Rwandan people. He noted that Rwanda’s progress serves as an inspiring example of national determination and effective leadership.
He further expressed confidence that Pakistan and Rwanda will continue to strengthen their bilateral relations through enhanced cooperation in diplomacy, trade, education, investment, cultural exchanges, and sustainable development initiatives, fostering greater understanding and mutual prosperity for both nations.
