On 5th March 2025, Mr. Khalid Taimur Akram, Executive Director, Pakistan Research Center for a Community with Shared Future (PRCCSF), Islamabad participated as keynote speaker in the Tenth International Conference on “Theory and Practice of Personnel Policy and Psychological Support of Senior Personnel” organized by Academy of Public Administration under the aegis of the President of the Republic of Belarus in Minsk, Belarus.
During his presentation titled “Empowering Opportunities for Youth in the Workplace,” Mr. Akram highlighted the alarming global youth unemployment crisis. He noted that over 1.2 billion young people—accounting for 16% of the global population—are facing significant barriers to employment, with many categorized as Not in Employment, Education, or Training (NEET). He pointed out that youth unemployment rates are particularly severe in regions like Sub-Saharan Africa and Latin America, which not only impede personal development but also hinder national economic growth.
The conference also featured speakers from Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Russia, Belarus, Tajikistan, and Pakistan. The aim of the conference was to discuss topical issues related to the implementation of state personnel policy and management psychology, focusing on innovative strategies for enhancing workforce efficiency and employee well-being.
